Systemic Sclerosis Manifesting Post-Radiotherapy: A Case Report

Morphoea is a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin and underlying tissues, characterised by fibrosis subcutaneous tissue without systemic involvement. Radiation-induced morphoea rare, often unrecognised, chronically progressive form radiation-associated localised scleroderma skin, infrequently progressing to scleroderma. Systemic widespread along with features, leading an increased risk malignancy compared general population. The authors present case 67-year-old female, previously diagnosed psoriasis developing squamous cell carcinoma on ring finger axillary nodal metastasis, who underwent radiotherapy, subsequently developed symptoms sclerosis. This unique, as there are nominal reports generalised converting sclerosis post-radiotherapy, exaggerated thickening over side radiotherapy. Thus, report this rare effect Treating physicians should always be vigilant in identifying these effects after radiotherapy prevent long-term sequelae disease, minimise their impact patient’s quality life.
